The American Council on Education and the The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching announced that Â鶹´«Ã½ has earned the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement, a distinction reflecting the university’s commitment to working with communities across the state and beyond.

The Office for Outreach and Community Engagement (OCE) is a new campus unit comprised of Native American Affairs, Local Government and Community Engagement, Partnerships and Public Policy, and Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship.
