WGST Major, Dulce Valenzuela, Recognized with Dottie Lam Leadership Award
Throughout her time at CU, Dulce has been passionate about uplifting underrepresented voices and making spaces more inclusive and accessible. As the Disability Services Liaison for CU Student Government, she works to amplify student perspectives, address barriers to accessibility, and advocate for a more equitable campus. Her involvement extends beyond student government through her work with the CU Art Museum, where she helps foster community connections and expand opportunities for engagement through the arts.
Driven by her interests in healthcare, education, and advocacy, Dulce hopes to continue bridging the gap between underserved communities and the resources they deserve. For her, leadership is not simply about holding a title, but about showing up for others, creating opportunities, and ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table.
Receiving the Dottie Lamm Leadership Award is a meaningful recognition of her commitment to service and her belief that lasting change begins with listening, collaboration, and the courage to advocate for others.
