Volunteering
On a typical autumnal Saturday, Noah Cruz (PolSci’19) can be found decked in black and gold at a crowded bar in downtown D.C. He chants a familiar “Fight! Fight! Fight! Go CU!” with local Forever Buffs. Here, Noah shares what drives him to volunteer and how his time at Â鶹´«Ă˝ shaped him.- For Â鶹´«Ă˝â€™s newest students, arriving on campus means more than finding a residence hall, navigating a new class schedule and settling into college life. It also means finding community. This fall, Forever Buffs alumni communities helped ease the transition by welcoming incoming students and their families to a gathering that fostered connections and a sense of belonging from the start.
As an alumni volunteer, Ef is more involved than ever. With Forever Buffs Latinx, he helps Hispanic/Latino students achieve their educational goals and foster a strong cultural community on campus. He dresses up for Homecoming and attends the staple campus events he missed as a student. He is essentially recapturing CU in a new light.Â
